It is hard to believe that in a few days the puppies are ready to go off to their new homes when only 5.5 weeks ago they were brand new and depending on us for everything. This week has been a little roudier, they are running, playing and eating biscuits and wanting to be out and about more than in their portacot ! Their personalities are really setting in now and Riley is going to be such a people dog loves to have a late night cuddle when everyone else is sleeping, Stripe is a  big placid boy and he really feels the heat so loves to be cuddled up to a frozen waterbottle. Velvet is a diva in training always pouncing around while the others are eating then goes and finishes off everyone elses. Jaxon is going to be loud lol ! He is the first to let you know they want out but the first to crash and fall asleep in the middle of the mat, then there is Houdini and he still goes by his name always finds away out of everywhere!

So here they are at 5.5 weeks { pictures were taken at 5 weeks } and just a few days away from their new adventure!

to leave the nest !! It’s been another crazy week here with the puppies but it’s hard to imagine that in just 1.5 weeks they are ready to leave the nest and go off to their new families. They have been off the bottle and on full wet food since they were 3 weeks and they are the biggest pigs out!! They have all gained over 1 kg in just over a week and are starting to run { although rather uncoordinatedly lol ) , play and bark and it looks like they will all have blue eyes ! They are getting naughty and are starting to explore a bigger area than the mat when they are allowed out but soon find a nook to crash out as it is just all too much sometimes! Houdini has made a full recovery and you would never have known he was so sick which is a huge relief! 

We are now taking interest/deposits for the pups. Yoda { now named Riley } has already found his forever home and his new mums are so excited to take him home! These pups will be adopted under our not for profit  Whippet Rescue and adoptive parents will be required to fill out information forms etc this is to ensure these pups go to the best loving homes only.  Pups are ready to go from the 25th and will be Vaccinated, Vet checked, Wormed and Microchipped before they go. So here they are growing up way to fast !

it’s been !! We totally missed the 2 week photos it has been that crazy here ! The last few weeks has been met with lots of sleep deprivation, LOTS of washing and lots of stress as Houndi ended up with pneumonia! This week the puppies have gone onto wet food { and totally scoffing it down! }, all eyes are open which took a good week for everyone to be fully opened and focused, and now they are starting to run around, play and bark { oh joy lol ! } . Houdini is turning out to be one very expensive puppy after comming down with pheumonia { that will teach him to inhale his milk ! } , alot of puppies don’t survive pheumonia so we are extremely lucky to still have him here, wednesday night we had an oxygen tent set up at home and basically didn’t leave his side until the vet was open to take over in the morning. Almost 24 hours later and he was home fighting fit and you would never have known he was so sick ! { although the bank balance still ins’t looking too healthy lol } . This is turning out to be a very interesting { and costly } roller coaster ride but we wouldn’t change it for anything we have been able to give these puppies and Molly a safe life which is all we wanted to do. Taking their pictures is only going to get harder from here, everyone wanting to go in different directions and carrying on like a 2 bob watch when they are out of their portacot { except Velvet lol } but they are really starting to show their personalities and I think it’s safe to say Jaxon is going to be one very naughty boy haha !

 Without further ado here are the puppies now 3 weeks old !

Well we have survived the week and what a week it’s been ! We started handraising the pups at 1 day old as Molly wasn’t doing too well with them and we didn’t want to risk loosing them all. As you can see they are now thriving and all are doing fabulously! The first few days was HARD work and 2 hourly feeds left us both with very little sleep but every bit has been worth it to see how well they are gaining weight and growing. They are right little porkers some gaining 30 grams a day! You can already see who is going to be the naughty ones and of course Velvet puts on a right act and will only drink her bottle at a certain temperature or she spits it out and refuses to drink! Molly is doing great was a little sad when the pups were taken away but we showered her with lots of love, attention and new toys and she is such a happy pup now and a little naughty loving my shoes lol  She has found a lovely forever home and we know she will be so spoilt there but it will be so sad to see her go !

So here they are 1 week on and so cute .. when they are sleeping lol !

Of tiny paws! Well here they are ! 5 gorgeous little puppies, 4 boys 1 girl and seemly healthy. For those that haven’t read we rescued Molly from the pound from possible death a week ago and ready to have her pups anytime. Well turns out miss Molly couldn’t have her pups naturally so was going to have a c-section, only no one knew when she was actually due so we didn’t want to take them until they were ready. Molly’s body had other plans and she had to be rushed to the vet to have an emergency c-section late last night. All went well and Molly is such a good mum, sometimes too good! Sadly we lost 3 puppies, 2 didn’t make it through the op and Molly accidently laid on one but we are thinking positive and knowing we saved her and 5 pups from being pts is all that matters. So meet the clan aren’t they precious ?!
